The First Congregatinal Church commissioned L. A. Kersh Architecture, Inc. to masterplan an expansion to their 30,000 square foot facility in 2000. The result of this vision was a 6,000 square foot atrium space that allowed a connection between the facility's two existing stories and a second "community" entrance offering outreach to the neighborhood and city. The new circulation space features energy efficiency, natural lighting and curved forms offering inviting space for visitors and church members alike. Remodels of the adjacent kitchens and lobby space were included in this $1.3 million dollar project completed in 2006. | Atrium - First Congregational Church Eugene, Oregon |
